Blanch then slow-braise
Blanch brisket 10 min to clarify the broth. Rinse pot clean. Return brisket, add 2L fresh water, ginger, star anise. Simmer 1.5 hours.

Add radish and finish(30 min)
Add daikon, continue simmering 30 min until both brisket and radish are fork-tender. The broth should be clear, deeply beefy, and fragrant with star anise. Season with soy at the end. Serve with steamed rice and soy-dipped sliced chilies.
