Instructions

Simmer all together
Combine all ingredients except goji and sugar in a large pot. Add 2L water. Bring to boil, then simmer 40-45 min, stirring occasionally, until beans are soft and the porridge is thick and creamy.

Sweeten and garnish(5 min)
Add rock sugar and goji berries. Stir until dissolved. The congee should be thick enough to eat with chopsticks but still slightly soupy. Traditionally served as a sweet breakfast during Laba Festival.
